Lahore: Director Gymboree Play & Music Pakistan Mrs Sophia Kasuri read out stories to children in a session called Reading Fiction to Children at Baithak Hall in Alhamra, at the second Lahore Literary Festival. She was joined by Pakistani-Canadian novelist Musharraf Ali Farooqi and writer Saman Shamsie. The three panellists talked about instilling reading habits in young children to enhance their learning abilities. It was an interactive session that students from various schools attended. Perhaps next year LLF can plan to include more sessions specifically targeting younger readers.
Gymboree Play & Music and The Early Years also put up a stall at the LLF and garnered a lot of attention. Parents who visited the stalls were interested in the early childhood education programmes offered by both institutes.
